Mr. Ayad Mirza – country managing partner of Deloitte & Touche M.E. / Iraq, and Bahaa Arnouk – senior manager at Deloitte, visited Ishik University on December 9, 2018. The guests were received by Dr. Fatih Cura-Dean of Faculty of Administrative Sciences and Economics, Mr. Krishna Navulur- Head of Accounting Department, and Dr. Samer H. Alssabagh- Lecturer of Auditing at accounting Dept.
The guests presented a seminar about audit profession in Kurdistan for senior students at both Accounting and Business & Management departments.
The seminar was organized by Dr. Samer H. Alssabagh as part of practical learning process for students that he teaches and consisted of two sessions. Generally, the presentations covered issues around the history of Deloitte & Touche in the Middle East in general and in the Kurdistan Region especially, auditing profession in Kurdistan, industry expectations and labour market needs, and others.
The main focus of the seminar was on the required qualification and skills for the career path in auditing, and current status of the profession in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region especially.
FASE’s academic and administrative staffs were present and actively participated in the seminar / open- discussion.
